Turmeric is one of the yellow spice Indian kitchen can’t live without and my spice box is incomplete without it. It’s one of my favourite spice that I use on daily basis in my food, it gives a beautiful yellow hue to the food, was raised consuming turmeric in food every day, that’s very normal in India, in the end understanding is it’s the normal yellow spice use basically to prepare Indian food. Wanted to create a new salad recipe with my favourite spice thus created delicious “turmeric beetroot salad”
Recently turmeric has got lot of attention throughout the world and has been in the news due to its health benefits. Happen to be a part of the conversation some time ago which was basically about turmeric, someone needed a desperate help to understand what turmeric is and how can it benefit, if it is eaten every day, this person was totally new to turmeric and suffering from a disease which is difficult to cure but learnt that turmeric can help if it is consumed every day.

Colour and taste
Turmeric has a very intense beautiful yellow colour and it can easily leave stains on the hands and clothes.
Taste is little bitter if consumed too much. Otherwise it’s ok.
Since it has so many health benefits, people are not afraid to use it even though they don’t prepare Indian food. For me food has always been very fascinating and creative way to express emotions. As I have mentioned above turmeric is one of my favourite spice and I wasn’t afraid to use it for my salad.
