As I had mentioned in my mother’s day chocolate post that chocolate doesn’t need an occasion, it’s the chocolate makes the occasion very special. Believed that this is a perfect occasion to share my yet another chocolate recipe with you all.
Outcome of this recipe is so mouthwatering; one can eat with the eyes 😉
Mother’s day chocolate recipe was a super hit in my house and I had decided that I would make this again for another event. My skylander boy had a play date with his friends at our place and had plans to make it for the kids and parents. In the middle of preparing the chocolates again, my creative brain screamed again to experiment something new and ended up making different chocolates. Not a bad attempt though, parents and kids enjoyed it thoroughly. I had prepared both the types of chocolates – mother’s day recipe and my another new cherry recipe.
Here is the recipe, do share in comments if this recipe was useful for you and added extra sweetness in turning your occasion more special.
- 300 gm – dark chocolate - broken/chopped
- 125 gm – Roasted walnuts
- 150 gm – Raisins
- 3 Tablespoon – Golden syrup
- 1 vanilla pod or ½ tablespoon vanilla essence
- ½ cup cherries deseeded - sliced in round shape
Roast the walnuts for few few seconds only on the stove.
Melt the chocolate, put a big deep bowl of water on the stove, boil it and put another bowl on top of it covering the mouth of the hot bowl. Be careful. Add chopped chocolate and stir it, melt it.
Close the stove when the chocolate is melted, take the chocolate bowl out.
Add golden syrup ,raisins ,chopped walnuts , vanilla essence
Mix all the ingredients, choose your favorite mold.
Start putting the cherries at the bottom and add the chocolate mixture on the top. Press it and cover it with a cling and let it rest in the refrigerator overnight.
Take it out next day before the occasion starts and serve the happy goodies 🙂
